Dr. Muyco is a Houston, TX native. Through DeBakey High School for Health Professions, she was accepted into the Premedical Academy at the University of Houston. Dr. Muyco majored in Biology and minored in Business Administration. She went on to complete her Doctorate in Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, where she witnessed first-hand the importance of mental health and found her calling in the field of Psychiatry.

Following graduation from BCM, Dr. Muyco completed her Adult Psychiatry Training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Dr. Muyco is skilled and thoughtful in utilizing evidence-based medication management when medications are indicated for treatment. She also completed the Psychotherapy Track during her residency at UTSW, where she further enhanced her training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. Dr. Muyco vows to continue to provide high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care that looks at the patient as a whole person, including the biological, psychological, and social aspects, instead of just a diagnosis.
